Dr Shadi Axmann graduated in medicine in 2008 (University of Geneva). She then trained in ophthalmology and neurology at the University Hospitals of Geneva and at the Fondation A. de Rothschild in Paris (France). In 2013, Dr. Axmann was appointed Head of Clinic at the Inselspital in Bern, then at the University Hospitals in Geneva. She subsequently developed expertise in eyelid and glaucoma surgery through fellowships at the Rotterdam Eye Hospital (Netherlands) and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (UK). Since 2017, she has been based in Vision Rive Droite in Grand-Saconnex, Switzerland.

Doctor Axmann is past vice-president of the Swiss Ophthalmological Society (SSO).

Dr Axmann is also trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and applies it for treating ocular and peri ocular diseases.
