Dr Christopher van Issum obtained his diploma in medicine in 2005 (University of Geneva). He then trained in medical ophthalmology at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), where he worked as Head of clinic in neuro-ophthalmology.

Dr van Issum continued his surgery training abroad with two Fellowships at the Auckland University Hospital and the Bristol University Hospital in order to perfect his expertise in eyelid, tear-duct and orbital surgery. He works at Vision Rive Droite in Grand-Saconnex, Geneva.

Outside of his ophthalmological work, Dr van Issum also a National Ice-Hockey League linkman for the Genève-Servette Hockey Club, and is also a surfing, cycling and aviation enthusiast.
